Imagine me in

Catholic school--I'd wear plaid skirts,

and likely hate them. 

Celebs in Plaid: Selena Gomez in Justin Bieber's Shirt

Justin Bieber is a special creature and Selena Gomez is his girlfriend. They're apparently having separation anxiety and she's been living in his purple plaid shirt while prancing around London. This must be their attempt to replicate a normal relationship--the equivalent of a letterman jacket exchange in normal high schools (not that Justin would be a varsity athlete...let's just pretend).

I'd probably never wear this outfit, but color also tends not to vomit on me like it does on all Disney stars so, dice. They probably can't help it. I mean, this look's not bad, but it ain't exactly rad either. Also, it's just really hard to muster up a lot of enthusiasm about a post that involves Justin Bieber. Teenybopper out!

I Talk Big Talk, But This Time I'm Back

I'm all revved up and ready to go!

Plaid is Rad(ical) is a short-lived relic of my old blogging life. When I started it, I was thirteen years old, new to the blogging world, and so fresh-faced and innocent.

Now, I'm almost nineteen. I've embarked on some professional blogging adventures. I go to college. I no longer have dial-up Internet. These are all delightful advances in my life. So delightful, in fact, that I look at my thirteen-year-old self and the crevice between us widens and widens with each passing day.

If that's the case, why return to this particular blog, uh, spot? Because I want to. I'm itching to write and obsess about plaid all over again. Love letters to patterns are the next big things, ya know? Besides, it's been five years and I am still on the hunt for the perfect tartan skirt. That's as good a reason as any.
